Reading is only one way to gain information. To help solidify a child’s knowledge, a variety of learning styles and content should be explored. Arts and crafts help tactile learners understand the content of the book they are reading why STEM and cultural education help engage a broader variety of students.

During Royale Cohesive Arts & Crafts time participants deepen their knowledge about a featured book. STEM education is encouraged throughout the arts and crafts by having students learn about new shapes, count numbers, use engineering skills through constructing objects, learning the biology of the characters and environments in the book, and more. Furthermore, cultural skills are developed by learning about the book’s cultural background the the relevance behind the arts and crafts the youth are working with.
